Khadega Mohammed is an 18 year old Sudanese-American spoken word artist who was born in Khartoum, Sudan. She spent part of her childhood in Saudi Arabia, then later moved to the United States at the age of 8. Khadega did not know a single letter in English, but once she learned the language, she fell in love with it. During her younger years, Khadega has faced a lot of racism and discrimination, therefore she uses poetry to shed light on such issues. Her spoken words focus on social justice issues, racism within communities, and finding self worth.
