The Struggle for Independence...

Muslims Family Services in a community based organization, run by the community for the community. It serves as an avenue through which those in need can come to seek assistance and support. MFS sees individuals and families in dire conditions on a regular basis. For example, take into account the story of Aisha*:

Aisha is a recent immigrant from Pakistan. Just as any immigrant, Aisha had dreams of settling down and living the “American Dream” of prosperity and happiness. However, as fate would have it, her husband abandoned and divorced her, leaving Aisha homeless. Now Aisha has been forced to move on and become independent as she wades her way through her circumstances and her life.

Aisha has started receiving work training from local health professionals and clinics. However, although she lives in the area, her bus commute takes over 2 hours daily. Muslim Family Services is assisting Aisha with utilities, rent as she is currently living with a friend, bills and other financial needs. Muslim Family Services aims to also provide Aisha with a car for transportation so she can use the time spent in commute to advancing her career and other critical life pursuits to become self-sufficient.

However, we cannot do this without the community’s help. Your help in whatever way, however big or small, whether financial or in-kind, is much needed and appreciated by clients like Aisha. Your contribution is helping support and build a strong and healthy community for all. Please consider donating to the MFS cause.

May Allah reward you greatly,

Muslim Family Services & Its Clients
